OontZ speakers need 5 hours of charging time to charge from 0 to 100 percent. Sometimes, it may face problems in charging due to a dirty charging port, broken or frayed charging cable, faulty power adapter, defective battery, buggy firmware, and faulty circuit board. My OontZ was not charging due to a wrong power adapter. I connected to my laptop’s USB hub, and it started charging.

1. Clean The Charging Port

OontZ Solo and Angle 3 are portable Bluetooth speakers that people frequently use for an outdoor parties. Because of outdoor use, the charging port gets dirty, preventing the speaker battery from charging.

Use a toothpick to remove the debris and clean the charging port with a microfiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol. After cleaning the charging port, connect the charger and see whether it’s charging.

2. Reset Your Speaker

A software bug and wrong settings can also create problems in charging. Resetting your OontZ speaker will delete all the stored data and restore it to factory settings.

Follow these steps to reset OontZ portable speakers:

  • Press and hold the power button to turn off the speaker.
  • Hold the Power and Volume Up (+) buttons together for 5 seconds.
  • Please wait 10 seconds and press the Power button to turn it on.
  • Go to your smartphone’s Bluetooth settings and remove the old OontZ from the device list.
  • Pair it again.

That’s it! Your OontZ speaker has been reset to factory defaults. Now connect the charger and check whether it’s charging.

3. Try Another Charging Cable

4. Try Another Power Source

5. Replace The Battery
