TAGRY is a budget-friendly wireless earbud that delivers a high-quality sound experience with all the necessary features. Its decent sound quality with active noise cancellation and the digital LCD display on the charging case attract customers. However, many customers reported charging problems with TAGRY wireless earbuds.

If your earbuds are also not charging or your case isn’t charging when connected to a USB-C or wireless charger, this guide is made for you. I also faced a charging problem with my left TAGRY earbud, and I’ll share a step-by-step process to fix this issue.

Why Does My Left TAGRY Earbud Not Charging?

My left TAGRY earbud was not charging in the case because of a wax buildup around the metal contacts blocking the current flow. It’s the most common reason for any wireless earbuds that won’t charge in the case.

I cleaned the metal on my left TAGRY earbud with isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush. The issue was resolved by cleaning the metal contacts on the left earbud only.

How To Fix TAGRY Earbuds Not Charging?

TAGRY earbuds come in a pretty good-looking charging case that can charge both earbuds five times. I love the LCD display on the case that indicates the earbuds’ battery percentage and charging status.

Here are some easy solutions to fix the TAGRY earbuds charging issue:

1. Clean Metal Contacts

TAGRY Earbuds Cleaning

The company says it has wireless earbuds, but that doesn’t mean your earbuds charge wirelessly. You can charge your earbuds case on a wireless charger, but the earbuds inside the case recharge through physical contact.

If you inspect your TAGRY earbuds, you’ll see two metal contacts on each earbud that connect inside the case to take charge. Due to continuous use, a layer of wax formed around the metal contacts that block the current flow.

None will charge inside the charging case if the wax is formed on both earbuds. So, regular cleaning is recommended for proper functioning.

Put a few drops of isopropyl alcohol on the metal contacts and clean them with a toothbrush. Now, wipe everything with a microfibre cloth to remove the layer of wax buildup.

Mostly, the charging issue on any wireless earbuds is fixed by thoroughly cleaning the metal contacts.

2. Clean Charging Case

Your charging case also has metal pins inside that make contact with earbuds. If any dust or debris blocks the metal contacts, your earbuds won’t charge.

Disconnect the case from any charger and remove both earbuds. Now, use a soft and dry cloth to clean the charging case’s exterior.

After cleaning the case from the outside, drip a few drops of isopropyl alcohol on the Q-Tip, and clean the metal pins and any hard-to-reach crevices.

After drying it, put both earbuds in the case and check whether the charging problem is resolved.

If you know the law of physics, then you must be aware that current flows from higher to lower potential.

If your charging isn’t sufficiently charged, then it won’t charge your earbuds inside. So, fully charge your case first and then put earbuds for charging.

4. Update Firmware

Outdated firmware can be buggy, creating problems in connectivity and charging. If you haven’t updated your TAGRY earbud’s firmware since your purchase, check for any available firmware update and install it.

You must keep your earbuds firmware updated for a better music-listening experience and AAC codec support.

5. Reset Earbuds

Factory reset is the last option that you can try. This will restore your earbuds to their original condition and fixes all minor software bugs that create problem in connecting and charging.

Here is how to reset TAGRY wireless earbuds:

  • Take both earbuds out of the case.
  • Tap and hold on to both earbuds for 5 seconds until the red light flashes.
  • Put them back in the charging case and close the lid.
  • Open the case lid and remove both earbuds from the case.
